Free FRAPS latest version for Game Screen Capture. It is the best solution to take in-game screenshots. FRAPS is developed by Beepa Pty Ltd and also free available for home use. Although the best option to take screenshots from Windows is PrtScr button usage. But when you want to take images from a full screen or HD game, this button do not work. To solve this issue, FRAPS was developed that not only take screenshots but also has more features within.
FRAPS is very easy to download and install. You can download the setup file from the download link given below. After download, just run the setup and install this program on your computer. For best use of FRAPS, keep all settings by default. This is a free version so you cannot avail all features. You can register for $37 and use it professionally for your business etc.
FRAPS General tab contains some basic settings for your Windows Operating System. There is only one option enabled that will keep Fraps window always on top. Moreover, you can enable start fraps minimized, run fraps when windows starts, monitor Aero desktop (DWM) and Minimize to system tray only options.
From 99 FPS option, you can change settings for benchmarsks. At the top, it will show the saved files location. In Hotkey option, you can set any key from keyboard as shortcut. From Movies tab, you can set all settings such as saved file location, hotkey, record win7 sound, video capture settings, loop buffer etc. Screenshots option will enable you to save settings for your screenshots option. You can set any hotkey for this. Try to set a key that is used very rare in games. You can also change Image format from this.
Remember that, this unregistered version of Fraps will only store file in BMP format. In movies, the loop recording is disabled. You will see the watermark along top of video. With this unregistered version, you can only record 30 seconds video per recording. But if you want to use it for screenshots, then it is the best software and recommended by me. (Review by PCFavour)
